  2. High Economic Status Individuals: The following categories of individuals are excluded:
    • Former and Present Holders of Constitutional Posts (e.g., President, Vice President, Governors).
    • Former and Present Ministers/State Ministers and members of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, State Legislative Assemblies, and State Legislative Councils.
    • Former and Present Mayors of Municipal Corporations and Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
  3. Government Officers and Employees:
    • Serving or retired officers and employees of Central/State Government Ministries, Departments, and Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), Autonomous Institutions, etc.
    • Regular employees of Local Bodies (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff, Class IV, Group D employees).
  4. Pensioners:
    • Retired pensioners whose monthly pension is ₹10,000 or more (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff, Class IV, Group D employees).
  5. Income Tax Payers:
    • Individuals who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
  6. Professionals:
    • Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with professional bodies and engaged in practice.

Application Process

The application process for PM-KISAN is primarily online and can be done through Common Service Centers (CSCs). Below are the steps for applying for the scheme:

Prerequisites for Enrollment

Before applying, ensure that the following documents and information are available:

  1. Aadhaar Card
  2. Landholding Paper (to prove land ownership)
  3. Savings Bank Account (for Direct Benefit Transfer)

Steps to Apply

  1. Visit the CSC Portal:
    The farmer can visit the Common Service Center (CSC) to register for the scheme.
  2. Farmer Registration:
    The Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) will assist in filling out the registration form. They will enter the following details:
    • State, District, Sub-District, Block, and Village.
    • Aadhaar Number.
    • Name of the Beneficiary.
    • Category and Bank Account details.
    • Land Registration ID and Date of Birth as per Aadhaar for authentication.
  3. Enter Land Details:
    The VLE will enter the farmer’s landholding details (Survey/Kahta No., Khasra No., Area of Land) as per the landholding papers.
  4. Upload Required Documents:
    The following supporting documents must be uploaded:
    • Aadhaar Card.
    • Landholding Papers.
    • Bank Passbook (showing savings account details).
  5. Self-Declaration:
    The farmer needs to accept a self-declaration and save the application.
  6. Payment:
    After saving the application, make the payment through the CSC ID.
  7. Beneficiary Status Check:
    After submission, the applicant can check their beneficiary status by entering their Aadhaar Number on the CSC portal.

Farmers can also apply for the scheme via the UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) mobile app.
